On the Eve of the 21st Vienna Economic Forum, on 3rd November 2024 in Hotel Imperial a Welcome cocktail was hosted by the Board of Vienna Economic Forum and the Board of Vienna insurance Group AG, Cooperation partner of Vienna Economic Forum.
In his Welcoming Words, Ambassador Brix, President of Vienna Economic Forum and President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (DA) warmly welcomed the high-ranking representatives of economy and Politics of the VEF Member Countries, participants at the 21st Vienna Economic Forum, taking place on 4th November in Haus der Ingenieure, Eschenbachgasse 9, 1010 Wien.
In her Opening Words the VEF Secretary General Amb. Dr. Elena Kirtcheva, Member of the Board and Founder of VEF wished a warm welcome to H.E. Mr. Albin Kurti, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and Member of the Patrons Committee of Vienna Economic Forum, to Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
VEF Secretary General Amb. Kirtcheva thanked the Vienna Economic Forum Cooperation Partner Vienna Insurance Group AG for coorganising the Welcome Cocktail, and thanked Mag. Peter Höfinger, Vice-President of VEF, Deputy General Manager and Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board, Vienna Insurance Group AG for his valuable contribution to VEF as VEF Vice President and Member of the Board of VEF.
VEF Vice President Mag. Höfinger, Deputy General Manager of VIG AG greeted the audience and highlighted the active cooperation between Vienna Economic Forum and Vienna Insurance Group AG under his VEF Vice Presidency. He introduced Mag. Christoph Rath Deputy member of the VIG Managing Board, who will be introduced to the VEF Board in the upcoming Vienna Economic Forum Annual Board Meeting and General Assembly in February 2025. Mag. Höfinger highlighted the active involvement of VIG in the 13 Member Countries of Vienna Economic Forum, and noted the value of VIG in covering all VEF Member countries.
Mag. Christoph Rath, deputy member of the VIG Managing Board, mentioned the 20th Birthday of the VIG Bulgaria branch and highlighted the importance of VIGs involvement in the region, and also his personal ties to the region after many successful years in different VEF Member Countries.
