Vienna, 1 July 2025 – The Board of Vienna Economic Forum (VEF) warmly congratulates Wilbert Verheijen, longstanding VEF Cooperation Partner and strong supporter, on his new position as Managing Director of Canon Austria, Cooperation partner of VEF. Since 2020, he has been leading the operations of Canon Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and will now assume responsibility for both roles.

Vienna Economic Forum is very pleased to continue the common work under his leadership – at Canon CEE and Canon Austria – in support of the further economic development of the VEF Region “From the Adriatic to the Black Sea” as an immanent part of the European and global economy – in line with Canon’s broad geographic engagement.

With his longstanding international experience and strong commitment, Wilbert Verheijen has significantly contributed to the development of the Canon Group – and will now also oversee the important Canon location in Vienna. The expansion of Vienna as a key hub within the Canon structure is expected to gain new momentum under his leadership.

This development is followed with great interest by Vienna Economic Forum. The longstanding partnership between Canon and Vienna Economic Forum is a valuable sign of trust and shared commitment to fostering economic dialogue and regional cooperation “From the Adriatic to the Black Sea”.
