On 22 September 2025, the VEF Secretary General, Ambassador Dr. Elena Kirtcheva, received H.E. Ms. Stanica Anđić, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Austria, for a working meeting at the VEF premises.

The open and constructive exchange focused on preparations for the 22nd Vienna Economic Forum – Vienna Future Dialogue 2025, which will take place on 17 November 2025 at Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) in Vienna.

Vienna Economic Forum looks back on a long-standing and very successful cooperation with the VEF Member Country Montenegro. At numerous events, VEF welcomed high-level representatives of Montenegrin politics and economy as speakers and panelists.

Particular importance was attached to the Vienna Economic Forum – Montenegro Meeting 2008 in Bečići, as well as the Vienna Economic Talks – Meet Montenegro in Vienna in 2013. During the 20th Jubilee Vienna Economic Forum – Vienna Future Dialogue 2023 in Vienna, the Government of Montenegro was also actively represented by Mr. Nik Gjeloshaj, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister for Economic Development of Montenegro.

The discussion addressed opportunities for closer future cooperation and concrete joint projects.

The meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere and provided a valuable foundation for further active collaboration between Vienna Economic Forum and the Embassy of Montenegro in Vienna.
